Changing the Culture of the DC City Government
- Calvin Gurley, candidate for the Chairman Council of the District of Columbia City Council announced his candidacy in January, 2010. Like many residents, he is disenfranchised with the current leadership. Mismanagement of funding, a failing educational system, unnecessary joblessness and increased taxes have made this City unaffordable and unbearable for many citizens.
- "As your next Chairman of the DC Council, I will work to make this City affordable and provide an "enjoyable" quality of living for you and your family," commits Calvin Gurley.
Our residents deserve a:
-
Quality environment for children, seniors, employees, entrepreneurs, small businesses, corporations, learning institutions, and visitors
- Fully funded law enforcement agencies
- No teacher layoffs -- a meaningful educational experience for students & parents
- Ample employment opportunities for all citizens -- professional & summer jobs
As your next Chairman of the DC City Council,
I will "fully" commit the Council to protect and defend DC residents, maintain stability in our neighborhoods and improve
the quality of life in our city -- the District of Columbia. |
